Vacuum Engineering

Design and analysis of projected lab and industrial vacuum systems, analysis of existing vacuum systems, recommendations for their upgrade. Roughing and high vacuum pumping of virtually any vacuum chamber - bell jar, cylindrical, spherical, box, and freeform ones, are calculated, simulated, and analysed. Vacuum chamber walls outgassing is taken into account; the elastomer seals gas permeation at high and ultra high vacuum can be estimated as well. Work of vacuum system with a gas load is also considered.

Designed or analysed vacuum system usually consists of a roughing vacuum pump (any type, including pumping system with a Roots pump), high vacuum pump (diffusion, turbomolecular, cryogenic, or ion ones), and typical vacuum components - roughing hose with a given number of bends, roughing valve, high vacuum gate valve, baffle, elbow. Our analyses takes into account the conductance of installed vacuum components.

We provide results mainly as plots (see examples here) and/or data files with explanatory note. All analysis, estimations, and calculations are carried out on the basis of customer's chosen or any other modern vacuum pumps and components specifications. Optical Coatings

We design, develop, and analyse the multilayer optical coatings - dielectric, metal, and metal-dielectric ones, AR and BBAR, beam splitters, mirrors, interference filters, neutral filters, electro-conductive, and others for ultraviolet, visible, and infrared wavelength range. We use the best modern optical coating design and simulation software OptiLayer and TFCalc together with our own substrates and thin film materials optical parameters database, SOPRA database, and other standard databases. The data provided by the customer can be used as well.

The designed optical coatings deposition runs can also be developed for the customer coating machines with different coating deposition techniques, including ion beam assisted deposition, and process monitoring - both optical and quartz crystal. We help you to develop new technological processes.
